Masada Mazal competes annually at both the Egyptian Event and Class A shows representing the estimated fewer than 250 straight Babson Egyptian Arabians remaining in the world.
As he has matured, his movement became too much for him to remain in the hunter division, not to mention that tail carriage! He is a Class A winner in Hunter under Saddle, Show Hack, & Sport Horse Show Hack, as well as Egyptian Event Reserve Champion Native Costume.
In 2011, Masada Mazal and Jill were recognized with the first annual Markel Performance Award at the US Egyptian Event, in recognition of his accomplishments. Their show hack demonstration at the Event was very well received. They returned to Lexington in October to triumphantly capture a US National Top Ten in Sport Horse Show Hack! He is only the seventh Straight Babson Egyptian since 1966 to claim a North American National Title, according to researcher Arlene Magid. What a horse!
